‘‘The Perl of the Eifel“
Welcome to the holiday-house “Pehlen”. We are glad for your interest and we hope to welcome you in Manderscheid soon.
In the middle of the “Vulkaneifel” you can find the city of Manderscheid with a span over a 1000 years of history. This is an ideal location for hiking, cycling, riding the motorbike, discovering the “Maare” (these are volcanical lakes) and to experience our culture.
House “Pehlen”
The house offers a lot of space with an area of 160m² divided on 3 floors with a property of 900m² up to 8 persons can stay in the house “Pehlen” (according to an agreement also up to 10 persons).
On the ground-floor you can find the kitchen, the dining room, the living room and a lavatory.
The bedrooms with a double bed are on the first floor as well as the bathroom. One double room has a sink and a balcony.
In the attic is a further room with two single beds and a playroom for children.
In the corridor is a further sink.
The house is provided with a place to barbecue and a sitting area. It also has a big play-ground.
According to agreement the use of the garage is possible (e.g. for bikes, motorbikes, cars and so on)
The holiday-house is situated in the centre of Manderscheid. It between 5 to 10 minutes it is possible to reach supermarkets (Norma and Penny), a butcher, a doctor (for an emergency), a pharmacy, an outdoor-swimming pool, a tourist-information, the “Maar-Museum” and the “Eifelsteig” (which is a hiking-tour).
From the Autobahn (A1/A48) between Koblenz and Trier you need approximately 5 km to reach Manderscheid.

For all who like hiking – you can find the connection to the “Eifelsteig” (a special hiking-tour), which leads you in several different stages from Aachen to Trier.
(The total distance of the “Eifelsteig” is 313km)
Just as suitable for shorter or longer day-trips are the volcanic-hiking-paths, which show you our beautiful nature.

Of course you should also visit and get to know the castles of Manderscheid and the historic Manderscheid with its “Heimatmuseum”.
The geology of the “Eifel” around Manderscheid can be experienced in the “Maarmuseum”. There are many places where many guided tours are organised by the “Eifelverein”.

The price includes 3 towels per person and drying-up cloths.
Children up to 3 years can sleep in their parents room with no further costs (a childbed is available).
There is a cure-fee per person of 1,50€ per day.
50% of the rent must be paid as deposit when booking.
Cancellation fees up to 2 months before arrival are free of charge, until 1 month before the booked appointment than it will be 20% of the rent and after that 40%.

- The holiday-house is a non-smoking house.
- Pets are not allowed.

Arrival
Coming from the Autobahn, you take the second exit on the roundabout in Manderscheid in the direction of Großlittgen. On the next crossing (you can find a petrol station on the right) you turn left into the “Wittlicher Straße” and after approximately 100m you reach the holiday-house “Pehlen” on the left side.
